CCL was established as Camhs Consultants Limited in August 2003 by the same team of consultants who previously worked for the Institute of Applied Health and Social Policy (IAHSP) within King’s College London. CCL continued the programme of work developed within IAHSP and built upon the expertise and experience of consultants who have been involved in a wide range of successful Children & Adolescent Mental Health services projects, large and small, over a number of years.
In November 2007 CCL became part of the Outcomes UK organisation, and whilst continuing to provide highly regarded consultancy support to its existing client base in the Midlands and South of England, has since expanded to cover the whole of England and receive regional and national commissions from both the Department of Health and the Department of Children, Schools and Families.
CCL’s existing activity in the Camhs field and Outcomes UK’s portfolio of services and experience in the Health economy have been combined and are now marketed in the Health economy under the CCL banner. The expanded service offering now includes a broader range of consultancy, recruitment, interim management and workforce development. The combined experience spans working with over 50 NHS commissioner and provider Trusts, with SHAs, and with national agencies.
The CCL approach and philosophy continues to be analysing what is needed and tailoring to each client’s needs, rather than using a standard formula or approach, and using teams from a variety of professional and agency backgrounds, which can support health, social care and voluntary sector professionals and organisations through this current period of intense activity and pressure for change.
